The Volunteer Befriender role involves visiting and befriending an older person living in a care home in local community, usually once a week or fortnightly for an hour.
This might involve activities such as reading to them, or playing a game, chatting, or going for a walk. Volunteers visit the same resident building a relationship with that resident which is person centered.
This opportunity is available Countywide.
