UKHarvest and the Nourish Hub Cafe provide a nurturing and supporting environment for our local community to come together while raising sustainable income for UKHarvest's operations.
We would love to welcome volunteers to the team to support our chef in the kitchen, and showcase their skills to prepare treats, cakes and snacks.
We offer training in hospitality related areas including Food & Hygiene, Kitchen, Barista and more.
We would love to talk to you about your volunteering potential with UKHarvest.
What skills do I need?
- Have a passion for food and a basic understanding of cooking
- Ability to communicate clearly with others
- To be an effective listener
- Reliable, honest and punctual
- Clean and tidy worker
- Polite, courteous and patient
- To be respectful of others’ differences and choices
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Ability to recognise own boundaries and the limitations of the role
