There are lots of ways you can volunteer with us, using your skills and learning new ones. You will be supporting people with learning disabilities and people with autism. Volunteering can give you the opportunity to learn new skills. It also looks great on your CV. Volunteering is proven to improve wellbeing, helping people flourish in sometimes unexpected ways. You might make new friends, boost confidence & self-esteem and your mental health. We are seeking volunteers who would like to support a small, dynamic, and lovely team with great vision and passion for what we do. We are looking for people who are well organised, enjoy making sure that things are correct (and can spot things which aren’t!) and who want to make our members feel good about the value they bring to our living well project. While most of the work is in a group setting, you will see the very real impact of your efforts on a daily basis. Your main activities with this role is to set up the groups if it be musical instrument's, setting up the area to work in, through to making drink for the groups (its thirsty work). You will support people 1 to 1, to ensure they feel included and enjoy the groups, or would just like to have a chat to help with engagement.

What skills do I need?

Our volunteers would ideally have: • Great attention to detail • Positive and can-do attitude • Lovely communication skills • Be comfortable with computers and data entry • Understanding importance of personal data privacy • Passion for working with people with LD and Autism.
