In Blackpool we have taken over a fantastic little project called Little Bundles.
It's facilitated at Langdale Library - (Wash Your Words). Families donate clothes and once a week between 1pm and 3pm on a Monday.
We are looking for volunteers come to the library to use the upstairs facilities to wash and dry the clothes that have been donated, ready for children (0-5) who are in need of a bundle of clothes.
It is an amazing facility and we can reach so many families who are struggling to clothe their little ones.
I am reaching out to our amazing team of volunteers to see if anyone can support. We have 1 volunteer who is resting at the moment but ideally going forward we need 2 onsite each week.
If you can commit once a week or once a fortnight, that would really help, so we can reach out and ensure parents can access clothes for their babies and young children.
What skills do I need?
Washing: Washing in, washing out, drying, and folding
Laundry room maintenance: Keeping the laundry room clean and tidy, and removing lint from the dryer
General support: Helping with general support in the launderette
