The helpline is seeking volunteers to take calls on the Wellbeing and Mental Health Helpline. Volunteers will receive high quality NHS training with ongoing development. Successful applicants will learn how to give emotional support, how to respond to emergency calls, how to signpost and give information to callers. No experience or qualifications necessary. People with an open mind, a non-judgmental outlook who are eager to help others would be well suited to this role. Full support is given to volunteers on shift and afterwards. This is a great prospect for anyone wanting to further their career and to learn transferable skills to many jobs. There are over 80 volunteers at the helpline, and with frequent social events its a really good opportunity to meet new people from different walks of life. We recruit 3 times a year - January, May, and September.
