We have an opportunity to Volunteer with us at our 'Tasty Chewsdays' Club to help prepare and serve our elderly clients a Homemade Traditional meal. You would be required to assist with the cleaning and general running of the kitchen. We hold our 'Tasty Chewsdays' Club every Tuesday between 10.30am and 1.30pm, where our clients are served a homemade meal and a pudding. Our past meals have included sausage casserole, cottage pie, roast beef etc. As a volunteer BDSP would cover travel expenses and a hot meal on the day would be included.
At BDSP we work as a team with lots of Volunteers you will need to work well with others. You will need to complete some food preparation/ hygiene courses to make sure we are working safely and within health and safety guidelines (This training can be provided). You will need good time keeping as well as being able to work methodically due to the large amounts of food being prepared at once. We keep high standards for our clients and our staff and volunteers work hard to makes sure these are kept, you will need to be able to do the same.
