We are looking for new volunteers to join our mentoring programmes, supporting young people from refugee backgrounds to gain work experience and employability skills.
What's involved in our mentoring?
Two Options
Two Month Risers Programme - Runs over seven weeks and involves spending two hours at the market with your mentee each weekend, whilst they do work experience, as well as doing one-to-one mentoring sessions after the market sessions.
Six Month Breadwinners Programme - You do not need to spend time with your mentee at the market, but need to agree a regular time to meet, (recommended every fortnight). You have six months to build a relationship and help your mentee towards both long and short term goals.

Practical Considerations
Support DisabledPlease contact us to discuss any access needs you may have and how we can best support you to volunteer with us.
We prioritise applications from those with some work experience in the UK so you can share your learning with your mentee. This could be in any industry or field and at any level.
No previous mentoring experience is needed, just positive energy and an eagerness to learn! We guarantee many laughs, fresh loaves and a supportive, bread-loving community!

Next opportunities to join:
Risers Programme: 15th July - 3rd September. You need to be available most weekends between these dates to attend market with mentee.
Breadwinners Programme: September 2025 - March 2026, with the following cohort running March 2026 - September 2026. Flexible timings as you arrange meetings with your mentee to suit you both (recommended fortnightly).
If you'd like to join later in the year please apply now and we can contact you when we next have opportunities to join us.
