The PA to the Director will provide administrative, organisational and communication support to help the Director manage day-to-day operations of the charity. This role helps ensure efficient running of SPIN’s activities, supports engagement with volunteers and members, and contributes to the overall effectiveness of the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Director with administration and general organisation.
  • Communicate with volunteers regarding delegated tasks, meetings and shared information.
  • Assist with office bookings and manage the office space (typically on Fridays).
  • Support with SPIN accounts relating to both members and volunteers (basic financial tracking, expenses, updates).
  • Prepare agendas and take accurate minutes at committee or volunteer meetings.
  • Upload and update information on social media, website and member directories.
  • Conduct basic research on behalf of the Director or members.
  • Other tasks as needed.

Disabled Access The office is accessed on the ground floor with lifts to 4th floor. There are disabled toilet facilities immediately outside lift and near the office.

What skills do I need?

  • Confident computer skills, including Outlook, Word and Excel
  • Ability to organise tasks, prioritise and manage time effectively
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Comfortable learning new systems and procedures
  • Proactive, adaptable and happy to work independently as well as in a team
  • Experience taking minutes of meetings
  • Good attention to detail
  • Excellent time management
