Sew Fabulous Community Interest Company is based in Brighton Open Market, a busy covered market in central Brighton. We are based in a warm, welcoming and professionally equipped sewing studio and dedicated classroom in Brighton’s historic Open Market. We have been here for eight years. From our studio we run weekly classes and regular workshops for all ages, from kids and teens after school classes to regular adult classes accommodating a range of abilities.

Local textiles artists regularly join us as guest tutors to run workshops.

The aims of Sew Fabulous are:

• To provide sewing classes and creative workshops to the local community.
• To promote the reuse and recycling of fabrics and clothing as an antidote to fast fashion.
• To be a positive force for change in our city and to promote an inclusive environment for all.

We are recruiting for a part-time general studio assistant to assist with practical tasks.

Would suit textiles/arts grad.

What skills do I need?

Duties to include:

• Prepping teaching materials and projects for classes.
• Researching and developing projects for students.
• Assisting to create visually engaging studio displays.
• Organising creative resources.
• Digital duties to include: Taking and processing photographs.
• Some admin tasks.
