We are looking for a friendly and reliable volunteer to assist a person with vision impairment by providing transportation and companionship for outings. This could include trips to appointments, shopping, social activities, or simply getting out and about.

What you will be doing:

  • Drive the individual to various locations safely and comfortably
  • Offer friendly conversation and companionship
  • Assist with small tasks if needed (e.g., guiding in unfamiliar places)
  • Be patient, supportive, and respectful of their needs

What we’re looking for:

  • A friendly, chatty, and caring person
  • A safe and responsible driver with a valid license and a clean driving record
  • Someone with past care experience (preferred but not essential)
  • A willingness to help make outings more enjoyable and accessible
  • Someone who is able to undertake sighted guide training

There is parking on site and days are flexible 

What skills do I need?

  • Someone who is Friendly and Chatty 
  • Clean driving licence and knowledge of the local area 
  • Someone who is looking companionship and adventure 
  • Care experience is an advantage but not essential
