Friends of Buchan Country Park', is a newly reformed volunteer group that came together in June 2024, following the closure of the previous committee during the Covid lockdown. Our main aim is to raise awareness of the park within the communities of Crawley and Horsham. As the park sits on the border of both towns, it is managed by West Sussex County Council rather than the town councils, which means we don’t receive the same level of support as the town parks. That said, Buchan Country Park is just as valuable to the local community, it is a beautiful ancient woodland and we are very proud to have once again been awarded the Green Flag Award this year.
