You can join our weekly gardening and conservation sessions at Boston Manor Park, every Tuesday 10-12.30 and every Thursday 1.30-3.30pm. We meet outside the Service Yard – there are maps at every park entrance or email us for info ([email protected]). We then go out into the park to do conservation and/or gardening activities.

Tuesday sessions take place anywhere in the park and are generally more physical than the Thursday sessions which are more gentle and take place in and around the walled garden. We also do veg growing from spring - autumn during our Thurs sessions.

Please ensure you wear clothes suitable for the weather and for gardening, including sturdy boots or shoes that you don’t mind getting a bit muddy. Gloves and tools are provided by us.

We sometimes have gardening and conservation sessions at weekends – these dates will be in the events newsletter (email us to request).

If you are planning on coming to a session, it would be helpful if you could read through the Volunteer Agreement, Info sheet and Safety Briefing first (available on request). But don’t worry, we have copies here so you will receive an induction on arrival and can complete any paperwork during the session.

You can get to Boston Manor Park via public transport - tube: Piccadilly Line Boston Manor, train: Brentford and buses 195 and E8

You don’t need to commit to coming to every session or let us know when you can’t come. Just come along when you can.

What skills do I need?

• You will receive full instruction and training for the gardening and conservation tasks during the session.
• You will learn basic to advanced gardening skills and how to maintain and improve a variety of habitats, including meadows, woodland, and aquatic environments.
