Are you interested in leading a group online, perhaps you may have an interest or a skill that we could support you with to set up a weekly group? We are looking for volunteers to assist us in developing and providing a range of online activities to support our service users who use Hestia’s service to connect, learn new skills and have fun together.

If you are welcoming, patient, reliable and ideally have experience of working with individuals who struggle with their mental health, we would like to hear from you!

Main Tasks: ​ Facilitate a weekly/fortnightly online group for service users and volunteers, as a space for people to connect with others, learn a new skill and have fun together​ Plan each session in advance, with the support from the Volunteering Team to set up the group around a specific skill/interest​ Encourage service users to participate in the sessions​ Feedback to your Volunteer Supervisor how the sessions are going

What skills do I need?

Person Specification:​ Ideally experience of working with individuals who struggle with their mental health​ Basic knowledge of how to navigate Microsoft Teams/Zoom​ Welcoming, reliable and patient personality​ Awareness of health and safety issues
