Detailed description

Play an important role in improving the health and wellbeing of local people, supporting individuals to develop a more active lifestyle and make positive lifestyle choices. To plan and deliver a range on health and wellbeing programmes including walking programmes, cycling and group exercise sessions (Subject to experience, qualifications and skill level) To work with individuals and/or groups with a range of abilities, age ranges and varying backgrounds, including people with a range of physical and mental health related problems Undertake administrative tasks related to the programme including, updating registers, data capture reports, staff rota, help facilitate strong relationships with key partners and adhering to all LVRPA health and safety procedures for each session/programme.

What skills do I need?

  • Understand the benefits of physical activity and exercise for individuals, families and communities, and know why adopting an active and healthy lifestyle is important
  • Experience of leading (coaching/instructing) health and physical activity sessions.
  • Experience of delivering health and physical activity programmes within green spaces/parks.
  • An ability to motivate, enthuse and inspire people from different communities and backgrounds. 
  • Physically fit enough to coach and lead physical activity programmes and sessions.
