Are you passionate about Athletics and keen to help young people aged 11-18 achieve their best?
Are you interested in earning a qualification as a professional coach?
Our successful, friendly Athletics clubs is seeking coaches to assist in the running of our training sessions for local youngsters. These include running (springing and distance), throwing (shotput, javelin), and jumping (long, high, triple).
You will start off assisting a qualified coach, but if you're dedicated and want to pursue it, then we will help you progress to a professional qualification.
What skills do I need?
- Passionate about fitness and athletics.
- Encouraging, patient, and able to bring along and inspire young people.
- A good understanding of diversity, inclusivity, and the challenges that youngsters might face.
- All these roles require good team working as you are never working by yourself. Training is provided, but in the first instance we suggest that spending some time just helping out and finding what area suits you best is a sensible idea.
