Charity Shop Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated, responsible volunteer who would like to play a role in running a busy little charity shop in central Chelmsford.
This would mean helping out on the till and with donations, but also unlocking and locking up, cashing up, and helping us keep a rota of volunteers.
We can promise you a welcoming, cheerful environment with friendly volunteers and regular customers. Our shop takes everything - from furniture, clothes, books and other assorted treasures.
We welcome volunteers from all walks of life and all abilities. We need help in sorting and pricing donations, welcoming customers, operating the till, keeping the shop tidy, and general helping.
We are next-door-but-one to Chelmsford library, and a very easy walk from bus stops and the town centre.
We are seeking to recruit 2 or 3 volunteers who would do a 3-hour shift each per week.
What skills do I need?
Previous retail experience would be helpful but not essential.
You must be well organised, and happy to get along with volunteers of different abilities and backgrounds.
