Maldon & District CVS are looking for volunteers to support with our Community Gaming Initiative (CGI) project, who can help out at our weekly Maldon and Bi-weekly Burnham community gaming sessions.
If you have a passion for gaming, knowledge of different games and want to support local children and young people this is the role for you.
Volunteers will help to set up sessions and support our participants, often young people, to choose games, play together, gain confidence and socialise.
Sessions will be supporting young people for around 3 hours on Friday evenings (Maldon) and 3 hours on 1st and 3rd Tuesday evenings (Burnham) and at various times & days during school holiday periods.
A DBS Check will be required for this role and safeguarding training will be provided.
What skills do I need?
Good Knowledge of video gaming and different consoles
Good with children and young people.
Patience and confidence to support others.
A sense of fun.

Weekly community gaming sessions at Maldon Activity Centre 5-7pm, every Friday.
Regular gaming sessions also run on the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of the month at Burnham Village hall. 5-7pm.
Various events will often often take place throughout the year, particularly during school holidays periods and will most likely be in the evenings or at weekends.
