Harlow’s unique heritage site, the Museum & walled gardens has many surprising collections and the gardens are a remaining part of the original 16th Century Mark Hall Manor. We have been awarded a Green Flag for a welcoming and cared for green space and this is mostly due to the wonderful effort of our volunteers. You will work in a small team to maintain the walled gardens and will help tend shrubs, borders, lawns and hedges for the public who seek peace, beauty and a little bit of sanctuary in this treasure filled Museum.
An interest
in outdoor spaces, fresh air, Harlow and gardening is essential. Minor physical
tasks will be part of the role, guidance and training will be given.
