As a Grounds & Garden Maintenance Volunteer, you’ll help care for the outdoor areas around our community centre, making sure they remain safe, attractive, and enjoyable for everyone who uses the building. This is a lovely hands‑on role for someone who enjoys being outdoors, working with plants, and taking pride in creating a welcoming environment for local families, young people, and community groups.
Key Responsibilities
You’ll support general garden upkeep, light grounds maintenance, and small improvement projects that help our green spaces thrive. Your contribution helps create a calm, cared‑for setting that reflects the heart of our community.

- Enjoys being outdoors and doing practical tasks
- Friendly, reliable, and community‑minded
- Some green‑fingered knowledge or interest in gardening
- Comfortable using basic gardening tools
- Able to work independently once shown the ropes
- Organised and able to follow simple procedures
- A positive attitude and willingness to get stuck in
