Help deliver outstanding live music events at The Jazz Centre UK by supporting our sound equipment and live performances. Volunteers will assist with setting up equipment, conducting sound checks, and helping to mix performances for the talented jazz artists who appear at the Centre.

This is a fantastic opportunity to gain practical live sound experience, work closely with musicians, and become part of an exciting programme of concerts throughout the year. No extensive experience is required. If you are enthusiastic, willing to learn and interested in live sound, our lead sound technician will happily show you the ropes. Our setup is straightforward, and most volunteers quickly gain confidence in the role.

For those with previous sound engineering experience, we would be delighted to welcome your expertise. Your skills could help us continue improving the quality of our live events, enhancing the experience for both audiences and performers. We have an excellent stage setup, including on-stage monitors, and are continually investing in improvements. Musicians regularly comment on how enjoyable it is to perform at the Centre, with many returning to play again.

Live music is central to our mission of celebrating and promoting jazz. Whether you are looking to learn new skills or bring existing experience to the role, you will play an important part in helping performers and audiences enjoy the very best experience possible.
