The Jazz Centre UK is looking for a volunteer to help coordinate our museum back-office activities. Supporting our very experienced Museum Trustee Mark Barrett, you will help organise projects, coordinate volunteers, track tasks and support the smooth running of behind-the-scenes museum operations. This is a new initiative for us and you will be the first in this role, so an exciting time and your help in this leadership role will make a large impact to everything we do.

This is a fantastic opportunity to develop leadership and organisational skills while contributing directly to the preservation and presentation of an important collection of jazz heritage. We are looking for a self starter that can organise and inspire our volunteer team to complete our projects.

As the museum continues to grow, effective coordination of our back-office activities is essential. Your support will help ensure projects are delivered efficiently and volunteers can focus on making a difference.

What skills do I need?

Strong organisational skills
Ability to coordinate people and tasks
Confidence using email and basic office software
Good communication skills
Leadership experience helpful but not essential

Background in museums/libraries helpful, but not essential. Someone willing to give it a go in this area is completely fine. We are looking for a strong self starter that can help motivate our team.

Location

This opportunity can be carried out whilst working from home.
