Are you passionate about storytelling, community engagement and communicating creatively? Do you have a knack for writing, editing and organising content? We are looking for someone dedicated, creative and resourceful to bring news about our park and upcoming to events to life, as well as raising awareness of the support that we can give to our local community and environment.
As our newsletter writer, you’ll be asked to:
• Collaborate with staff to plan regular content
• Source images, stories and updates from members of staff and our partners on stories from around the Garon Park complex
• Assist with graphic production, layout and distribution
• Make appropriate use of social media to improve local awareness of our offerings.
By helping us produce regular newsletters, you’ll be able to gain valuable experience in digital publishing and communications, hone and showcase your creativity in both visual and written media, and help our thousands of service users keep in touch with news about events, opportunities and developments at the park. This work can be carried out at site, remotely or both!
An eye for detail and strong written English is essential. No previous experience is required, though familiarity with writing newsletters or developing visual media would be helpful, as would knowledge of Canva and Mailerlite.
This opportunity can be carried out whilst working from home.

Around one day per month would likely be sufficient to perform this task. There are no specific fixed hours associated with this role, but we would like to issue regular communications. This could also be a role for multiple people working collaboratively.
