Volunteer Helper - The Todman Centre

The Todman Centre is a lunch club for over 55’s in Rayleigh, although majority of our members are 75+. We require helpers to make teas and coffees, support our members in to their seats or with general mobility, help run activities – such as group games or quizzes, and serve lunch.
We have a kitchen team that make and prepare the meals, we just need support to deliver meals to the table and clear the plates afterwards. We also appreciate when our helpers take the time to talk to members and make them feel welcome.
We offer a free lunch to all volunteers, free parking is available on site, volunteer events throughout the year.
What skills do I need?
Dementia and first aid training are very welcome skills, but not essential
The main skills for the role are to be friendly, kind and patient. Otherwise practical, everyday skills

The club operates on Tuesday and Wednesday from 10.30 – 2.30. We are happy for volunteers to work as much or as little as they can do. If only available one day in the month, it is still very helpful and we would welcome the support!
