We are looking for Retail Volunteers to assist us Monday-Sunday in our Bishops Stortford South Street Shop. If you have a few hours to spare each week and would like to help out in our shop, we’d love to hear from you!
This is a fantastic opportunity to get involved and make a meaningful impact. Our shops play a crucial role in raising funds to support the essential services of Isabel Hospice.
As a Retail Assistant, you will support and assist the team in maximising the shop's income by ensuring the shop floor is fully stocked and properly merchandised, and customers are served efficiently.
What you’ll be doing:
Under the leadership of your Shop Manager, you will be assisting with:
- Providing the highest standard of service to customers
- Keeping the shop fully stocked and ensuring items are displayed to show them at their best
- Operating tills and taking payments
- Ensuring both stock and cash security procedures are always followed
- Contributing to keeping the shop and premises clean and tidy
- Providing support and guidance to new volunteers to help them settle into their roles
- Promoting the public’s understanding of the work of Isabel Hospice and the importance of raising funds through the shop
- Raising awareness of Gift Aid to our customers
- Promoting and applying the Isabel Hospice Health & Safety Policy

- Enjoy working in a team environment

- Demonstrate and keen to develop good customer care skills
- Security conscious
- Confident in handling cash
- Demonstrate and keen to develop display & merchandising skills
