Befriending Volunteers

Age Concern Cowplain has a befriending service, for which we are seeking volunteers, to support people in the local community who have become isolated or have lost confidence in accessing activities in the community.
What skills do I need?
This is a 6 to 8 week project and takes just a couple of hours a week for a volunteer befriender to assist an older person to feel and become a valuable member of the community again.
