Library Volunteer

Thrive holds an important collection of publications about Social and Therapeutic horticulture used by professionals and students gaining qualifications in the field.
We are looking for a volunteer:
- to support us to maintain the library in good order to support our students’ studies.
- to support the Training and Education Administrator in relation to publications provided to our students.
Some of the tasks you may be involved in are:
- Keep the library in good order using the Dewey system already in place
- To follow up any students whose returns are outstanding
- To support with the development of the library through adding new sources
What skills do I need?
Computer literate - knowledge of Word and Excel
Knowledge of Access would also help greatly in the library
Good organisational skills
Reliability – be able to commit to a set time and day each week.
Problem solving – be able to work on own initiative.
Good communication – consult with the relevant staff member about given tasks.
