Newsletter Volunteer

Would you like to support our busy Community Development Team? Do you have a high level of written English along with good IT skills? if so, this could be a great opportunity for you!
The Newsletter Volunteer will assist the Community Development team with sending out our Members Newsletter on a fortnightly basis to all our members who are made up of charities, schools, community groups and other non-profit organisations in Rushmoor.
The newsletter contains a range of useful information including local events, talks, training and funding information. Please see this link for an example: https://padlet.com/RushmoorVoluntaryServices/rvs-members-newsletter-86-8p2uh7qr241outlb
- Collate information provided by the
- Update the newsletter with information provided by Community Development Team (images, videos, text, links and polls)
- Remove elements of the newsletter that are out of date
- Send out the newsletter to our members via our database.
- Follow RVS procedures at all times including Code of Conduct, Safeguarding and GDPR
This role is homebased.
What skills do I need?
Requirements and skills for this role:
- Access to a laptop or desk top computer.
- Good IT skills
- A high level of written English
- An eye for detail
- Ability to communicate with and engage with the RVS team
- Friendly person who is an effective team player
- Well-organised and reliable
- Ability to follow policies and procedures
You will receive a full induction and receive continued support in your role. The welfare of all our volunteers is of the utmost importance to RVS and you will be able to contact members of staff for support as required.
Full training will be given on how to use Padlet and our database.
