Office Liaison Volunteer

Farnborough Neighbourcare is an organisation that provides transport to medical appointments for people who cannot use public transport. This role involves matching clients and drivers, then recording information accurately on a paper based system.
You will be based the Neighbourcare Office once a week for 2 hours, to complete the following duties:
- Answering the phone and accurately record essential information, including that about forthcoming medical appointments
- Contacting our volunteer drivers to find a one that is able to take the client to their appointment.
- Passing on relevant information about the client to the driver
- Confirming the travel arrangements with the client
- Recording all bookings and enquiries using the appropriate paper work
What skills do I need?
- A pleasant telephone manner.
- Abilty to record accurately the information given, using the paperwork provided.
- Patient and sympathetic manner in regards to the needs of our clients, as many are elderly or infirm.
- Able to remain calm in an office environment that is sometimes busy.
