Sadly, we have had to cancel the 2020 and 2021 shows because of the Covid-19 pandemic but expect to be back in business in 2022. Would you like something to look forward to - a fun day out and an opportunity to support a local charity at the same time?
The Littleton and Harestock show society is looking for volunteers to help with the show on the 1st Saturday in September 2022 between 12pm and 5pm by working on the various game stalls. This includes the plate smashing stall, hoopla, snookergate or bottle ringing. You don't have to spend all day on the stall but 1 or 2 hours would be really helpful, after that you could enjoy the rest of the day at the show.
The Littleton & Harestock Show prides itself on being a typical English village show that has been running since 1921. On show day hundreds of local people demonstrate their skills and talents in fun competitions including gardening, cake baking, flower arranging and photography. For the entertainment and enjoyment of the thousands of people who attend the show, entries are displayed in a large marquee. Those attending also enjoy events in the performance arena, including dog agility, majorettes and the band. Additionally there are many fun sideshows around the ground including ferret racing, a fun-fair, and a flight simulator, there are also traditional game stalls such as hoop-la and crockery smashing which hopefully you will be supporting us with.
Profits from the show go one or two local charities, who between them usually receive around £3000. Additionally the show provides an opportunity for other local charities and organisations to promote themselves and raise some funds.
All types of skill would be useful.
