Bringing the ‘Wow!’ to our youngest Scouts, in a welcoming, safe and inclusive environment, the Section Teams make it happen for our Squirrels.
In the Squirrels Team, you’ll be making our 4 to 6 year olds’ eyes light up with wonder on a regular basis.
If you're interested in working in an Early Years setting, this is where you want to be. You’ll work as part of a team to pass on skills for life to our youngest section, while making sure the environment’s safe and keeping everything behind the scenes ticking over.
As a Squirrels Team Member, you might:
Read a story to the Squirrels
Build a den in the woods
Help a small group of Squirrels with an activity
Update badge records online
Work as a team to build a great programme of activities
Never been a Scout before? Neither have the Squirrels! Just come along ready for fun; it’s never too late to get involved!
This is an opportunity to volunteer with a new group that will be starting up in the new year, meeting on Wednesdays 5.15-6.15pm, in term time. Training will be given.
What skills do I need?
Good communication skills and the ability to help and encourage young people/
Training will be given.
