Support Event Helpers:

  • Ensure people affected by MND have a positive and comfortable experience while attending coffee mornings, afternoon teas, support meetings or drop-ins.
  • Represent the MND Association and share information about our services.

This role will suit you if you:

  • Have a warm, welcoming and compassionate manner.
  • Have good listening and communications skills.
  • Have an understanding of MND and its impact on families or able to learn.

What are you going to get from it?

You will become part of a friendly and dedicated team and make a positive impact to the lives of people affected by MND.

Will the role offer me flexibility?

Support Event Helpers attend regular gatherings. These generally run on a monthly basis.

Training/induction:

As part of the induction, we will provide e-learning, face-to-face training and mentoring.

What skills do I need?

  • Coming from a Health and Social Care background is desirable but not essential
  • Good listener
  • Good planning skills
  • Enjoy working as part of a team of volunteers
