Are you enthusiastic and reliable ? are  you looking for a rewarding Receptionist role  ?

The receptionist role at The Salvation Army involves greeting visitors when coming into the building, asking how we are able to help and directing their enquiry to someone who will be able to advise.

This role is very important as the receptionist is often the first face people see and at times the visitor may find difficulties in expressing their situation and are looking for someone to help and guide them.

Your tasks include:
 

  • answering the phone and directing the calls to the appropriate person.
  • taking messages which you will email to the appropriate person
  • directing those who use the building to the meeting rooms and replenishing any refreshment they may require.
  • check the facilities to make sure they are well stocked.

You may be asked to check the building for fire safety compliance and document as necessary.

What skills do I need?

You will need to be enthusiastic and reliable. As you will meeting and greeting people from all walks of life you will enjoy interacting with members of the public
