Who Are We?

The Jumbulance Trust makes accessible travel possible. We are a non-profit offering group hire and organising trips across the UK and Europe using our custom-built Jumbulance coaches.

Each coach is designed for comfort and accessibility, with space for up to 6 wheelchairs or stretchers, lift access, wide interiors, accessible toilets, and on-board kitchens. Our experienced drivers ensure every journey runs smoothly.

We exist to make a difference in the world of travel. With decades of experience, we’re driven by compassion, community, and a commitment to providing meaningful experiences.

The Role:

We are seeking a volunteer nurse to join us onboard the Jumbulance for a short break to Norfolk 30 November – 4 December 2026

This role is ideal for a nurse or appropriately trained care manager who enjoys working as part of a team, supporting others, and using their professional skills to make a real difference.

Before the trip, you’ll review passenger care records with the group leader and complete an initial risk assessment on arrival. During the trip, you’ll carry out morning and evening checks, along with ad hoc support as needed such as:

  • Review and support pre trip care assessments for travellers
  • Lead and coordinate care provision during the trip
  • Administer or oversee medication management
  • Provide personal care and clinical support as required
  • Work collaboratively with volunteer carers, personal carers, and the Group Leader
  • Participate in safeguarding, risk awareness, and incident reporting
  • Support travellers to attend activities, meals, excursions, and social time
  • Contribute to creating a warm, inclusive, enjoyable atmosphere for everyone

The trip will depart from Pease Pottage Services.

Travel on the Jumbulance, Accommodation, Meals (unless you chose to buy lunch on a day trip) and Day Trips are all included in this volunteer role.
