Who Are We?
Wild About Warnham is a friendly local conservation group helping to care for wildlife habitats in and around Warnham, especially the Warnham Butterfly Fields. WAW’s Wild Bunch undertakes practical habitat management, supports wildlife surveys, and helps organise local events and talks that encourage people to enjoy and protect nature.
The Role
The Volunteer Organiser will help keep the Wild Bunch running smoothly by planning practical conservation work parties, welcoming volunteers, coordinating simple arrangements, and supporting safe, enjoyable and well-organised activities. This is an ideal volunteer role for someone who enjoys nature, community action and bringing people together.
Main Responsibilities:
The organiser will be supported by existing members of Wild About Warnham and the Wild Bunch. Guidance will be provided on planned conservation work, volunteer briefings, safe use of tools and the wildlife value of the site. Volunteers do not need to be experts; enthusiasm, reliability and a willingness to learn are more important.
