Fundraising lead volunteer

Our community band is looking for a reliable and enthusiastic volunteer to help lead and coordinate fundraising activities that support the long-term future of the band.

Working alongside our existing fundraising team and band members, the Fundraising Lead Volunteer will help develop new fundraising ideas, organise and support existing activities, and encourage wider community involvement.

Main Responsibilities The role may include:

• Working with the band’s fundraising team to develop new fundraising ideas and activities

• Helping organise and coordinate existing fundraising events and initiatives

• Supporting raffles, refreshments, tuck shop sales, fete stalls, and community events

• Helping identify and apply for grants and local funding opportunities

• Assisting with sponsorship and donation opportunities

• Encouraging community engagement and volunteer involvement

• Helping coordinate fundraising rotas and volunteers where needed

• Attending Tuesday evening rehearsals occasionally to stay connected with the band and ongoing activities

• Supporting communication between volunteers, band members, and committee members

The role can be shared between more than one volunteer if preferred.

What skills do I need?

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys organising events and people, is community-minded, and wants to make a meaningful contribution to a local charity organisation.

No musical knowledge or playing experience is required.
