As a Reception Volunteer, you'll be the first point of contact for visitors, helping to create a warm, friendly, and welcoming environment while supporting the day-to-day running of reception.

Responsibilities:

Welcome and assist visitors, providing information and directing them to the appropriate area. Arrange guided tours when requested and ensure reception remains attended. Answer telephone calls promptly, take messages, and direct enquiries appropriately. Record visitor numbers, telephone calls, and messages accurately. Assist with booking enquiries and pass information to the appropriate staff member. Distribute post and provide administrative support as required. Support special events and other reception-related activities. Carry out other reasonable duties to help the smooth running of the organisation.

What skills do I need?

Friendly, welcoming, and approachable. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Organised with attention to detail. Comfortable answering telephone and face-to-face enquiries. Reliable and able to work independently and as part of a team. Basic Administrative skills are desirable but not essential.
