Join our team as a Donation Hub Support Volunteer!

We’re looking for enthusiastic and organised people to join our brilliant volunteer team at the Dalry Donation Hub. This is a non-customer facing role where you’ll be working behind the scenes, sorting and preparing stock for our Scotland Shops, getting the right products in the best locations, and helping to maximise our income and impact for children.

What skills do I need?

You’ll be sorting a variety of donated items whilst having the opportunity to learn about fashion brands, sustainability and Save the Children. You’ll help to ensure the hub is a safe, tidy and welcoming space, and you’ll become part of a supportive and enthusiastic group of volunteers. We’re looking for people who enjoy practical, hands-on tasks and who are able to give a little time each work. We know that life can be busy, so this role can be flexible around your availability. We encourage you to take a look at the role profile to learn more.

We welcome applications from people with a wide range of skills and experiences. You don’t need any retail or shop experience as full training will be provided in your preferred format – in person, via physical handbooks or via our new interactive training platform. What’s important to us is that you are a team player, open to learning, will follow our policies as well as be an excellent representative for Save the Children.

We know that our volunteer teams are stronger when they are inclusive and representative of their communities. Everybody can make a real difference. People come to us for all sorts of reasons, from all backgrounds, and we will do what we can to find a role that works for you
