Blyth Tall Ship is committed to celebrating and preserving our maritime heritage while engaging the local community. As a Volunteer Administrator, you will provide vital administrative support within our Heritage Workshop. Your work will help us maintain accurate records, strengthen relationships with donors, and ensure compliance with key processes such as Gift Aid

  • Collect, record, and securely store volunteer data.
  • Update and maintain visitor data documents.
  • Write and send thank you letters to donors, ensuring communications are timely and professional.
  • Prepare and process batches for Gift Aid claims in line with HMRC requirements.
  • Maintain organised filing systems (digital and/or paper-based)
  • Support the Heritage Workshop team with other administrative tasks as required.

What skills do I need?

  • Good organisational and administrative skills.
  • Competent IT skills, including data entry and use of spreadsheets or databases.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.
  • Clear written communication skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential information responsibly
  • Training and guidance will be provided.
