Are you an experienced leader who is passionate about developing people, building effective teams, and strengthening community impact?
We are seeking a motivated and capable Network Lead to lead the Tyne and Wear Community Network. This is a strategic leadership role focused on bringing together existing volunteers and activity under a clear structure, while building and leading a new volunteer leadership team.
This role is ideal for someone with strong leadership and management experience, who thrives on coordinating people, creating direction, and delivering results through others.
What is a Community Network?
A Community Network is the core local structure that brings volunteers together to deliver activity within a defined area. In Tyne and Wear, it brings together volunteers from across towns and communities into one connected network with a shared purpose.
It acts as the ‘home’ for volunteers across all roles, including adult, youth, operational, and support volunteers. The Network plans and delivers local activity such as medical event cover, community education, first aid awareness, youth programmes, and fundraising.
It also provides the structure through which volunteers are supported, developed, and connected, helping ensure a positive experience and strong local impact.
