Be part of an exciting city-wide running event and help keep runners safe, supported, and on course. As a Course Marshal, you’ll play a vital role in delivering a smooth and enjoyable race day experience.

What you’ll be doing:

Make a Difference:

• You’re directly helping runners have a safe, enjoyable race.
  

Be Part of a Team:

• Work with friendly, like-minded people and feel part of the event community.
  

Learn and Develop:

• Gain experience in event management, communication, and teamwork.
  

Stay Active and Outdoors:

• Enjoy being out and about in a lively, energetic environment.
  

Have Fun:

• Experience the excitement of race day from a unique perspective.
  

Feel Rewarded:

• Knowing you played a key role in a successful event is hugely satisfying.

What skills do I need?

Skills, qualities, and experience required:

• Friendly, approachable, and positive attitude
  
• Good communication skills
  
• Ability to follow instructions and safety briefings
  
• Strong awareness of surroundings and safety
  
• Reliable and punctual
  
• Confident giving clear directions
  
• Comfortable being outdoors in all weather conditions
  
  Desirable (not essential):
  
• Previous volunteering or event experience
  
• Experience in a customer-facing role
