Veterans at Ease is a leading Military Mental Health Charity, committed to helping all members of HM Armed Forces Community, be it Veterans, Reservists, Serving Military Personnel or their families, so they can deal with mental health issues such as anxiety, depression, flashbacks or thoughts of suicide, as well as Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and other combat stress-related issues.

We have charity shops in Gateshead that we need drivers and driver's mates to help to move and pick up donation for our shops in our vans. These vital donations support the work we offer to our veterans

Driver

• deliver goods and products safely and efficiently to customers and business locations.
• plan and follow the most efficient delivery routes to meet schedules and deadlines.
• load and unload vehicles safely

Driver's Mate:

• assist drivers with the safe and timely delivery of goods to customers.
• load and unload vehicles efficiently while following manual handling procedures.
• ensure goods were handled carefully to prevent damage during transit.
• support drivers with route navigation and communication with customers.

There are also other shops across the region that you may be required to move donations too - this will be planned in advance where possible

What skills do I need?

• clean driving licences
• able to drive a van
• physically able to lift and move items - range of weights
• Avialable throughout the week
• regular
• reliable
