The Secretary supports the smooth running of Greening Wingrove CIC’s Board.

They help organise meetings, keep accurate records, and ensure good governance practices are followed.

The Secretary works closely with the Chair and Directors. Like all Board members, they share responsibility and make decisions collectively.

Main responsibilities

  • Organise Board meetings (e.g. scheduling, sending agendas and papers)
  • Take accurate minutes and keep clear records of decisions
  • Ensure important documents and records are maintained and accessible
  • Support the Board to follow good governance practices
  • Help ensure the organisation meets legal and regulatory requirements
  • Track actions from meetings and follow up where needed
  • Support communication between Board members
  • Assist with planning key dates (e.g. AGM, reporting deadlines)

As this is a small, volunteer-led organisation, the Secretary may also help with practical tasks outside meetings, such as coordinating communications or supporting projects.

The board meeting is one Thursday a month 6-7.30 in person at the Bike Garden in Nuns Moor Park
