Welfare Volunteer

- offering water, snacks,
- a quiet place to sit,
- supportive conversation,
- help charging phones, and assistance booking taxis or contacting friends or family.
Volunteers work to keep the Bigg Market safe on Friday and Saturday nights from 10pm–2am, escalating any concerns to trained leads or emergency services when needed.
All volunteers have access to our website, where you can complete training modules and book onto shifts easily.
You will have the support of a volunteer coordinator and buddy system
What skills do I need?
You’ll be great at this role if you’re
- calm,

- good with people,
- able to stay level‑headed in busy nightlife environments,
- and motivated to make nights out safer for women.
