Home Support Gardner Volunteer

We are looking for volunteers to assist the families of the children who come to Helen & Douglas House. The needs of each family will vary but will include help in the garden, such as mowing, weeding and planting.

Main responsibilities and duties include:

·         Regularly visiting a family to offer practical help in the home as requested by the family.

We are looking for a commitment of 3-4 hours per week (including travelling time), for up to one year. 

What skills do I need?

We’re looking for someone who has the confidence to work on their own in a family home. Experience of working with children or families would be an advantage, but it’s not essential – full training will be provided (both face-to-face and online).
