Overall Purpose:

To enhance the work of the Carers Hub Service by organising resources and information into a user friendly library both on paper and on the hard drive and keeping them up to date.

Undertaking research into relevant support services and information which might be of help to the carers we support.

Main Duties May Include:

•  Organising paper and online resources.

•  Checking that resources are up to date.

•  Researching for information and support services which might be of help to the carers we support.

•  To always comply with The Carers Federation Policies and Procedures with specific reference to Health and Safety, Confidentiality and Equal Opportunities.

Time Commitment:

Volunteering time commitment for this role can be discussed from a few hours a week to regular days.

Training and Support:

Carers Federation will provide training and support to volunteers, ensuring they are equipped to handle their responsibilities effectively.

What skills do I need?

Desirable Skills and Experience:

• Ability to use Microsoft 365 and online search engines

• Effective communication skills.

• Ability to identify resources and organise and store them in the online and paper library .

• Ability to work as part of a team and support colleagues.

Attitude:

• A commitment to supporting carers.

• Positive approach to carer issues, seeking to empower individuals.

• A commitment to equal opportunities.

• Willingness to undertake training, supervision and guidance
