Objective: Supporting the Development Officer to facilitate a monthly Sight Loss Opportunity Group for people registered blind or visually impaired
Responsibilities:
Assist with preparing the room, make drinks and wash up for the group.
Assist with activities with the group.
Help to clear the tables and chairs at the end of the group
Support the Development Officer by listening to members and any small administrative tasks during the session as may be required.
Updating Group members with information they may find relevant
Looking for local Volunteers who would like the opportunity to take part in a very rewarding group and to find out more about issues affecting people who are registered blind or visually impaired.

Essential
Be able to adopt a courteous, friendly and professional manner at all times.

Good communication skills and a clear audible voice.

Willing to support the group on activities
Experience dealing with the public
Promote the service at events
Training and support will be provided following an Induction.
Community Resource will reimburse your travel and any out of pocket expenses.
A Disclosure and Barring Service check may be required at no charge to the applicant.
