We have secured a new storage facility that also incorporates our main office. This is a three-storey building that houses the items of furniture that is donated to us. We need help to sort donations into the appropriate storage rooms making sure that the item has no faults and is ready to be rehomed. We also have stock that is destined for our shop that may need to be cleaned and have appropriate safety labels attached. We do have a lift to all floors! You may be sorting through clothing donations, checking for faults and store them in the appropriate sizing containers. It isn't easy work by any means, but it is REWARDING!!!!!.
About the organisation:
We are a small local registered charity working with many service providers to ensure residents taking on a new tenancy or are experiencing financial difficulties have access to good clean serviceable second hand furniture and household items.
Please check your junk email folder in case any emails end up there. Friendly reminder that the charities/organisations emails may end up here too.
Applicants need to be able to work well with others and able to complete tasks unaided. There may be some heavy lifting involved with the furniture, we have various aids but it may be something to take into account. Again we are a very friendly bunch and will help out where we can with all our volunteers.
This opportunity has no specific location e.g. can be carried out anywhere.
