Shop Volunteer

Our friendly volunteer shop assistants greet and assist customers, operate the tills and sort through donated stock. We have opportunities for various shifts and we’re looking for a team of volunteers to lend a hand. The role in the shops is very varied. You have the opportunity to work customer facing serving customers on the till and help keep the shop standards at a high level, making sure the shop is always full etc. There is also an opportunity to help with the sorting donations. Visual merchandising is also an avenue we look for so we can keep the shop looking the best it can. Fundraising support is also needed at times throughout the year.
There’s a wide range of roles available, with something to suit everyone – including working in admin, on reception, serving refreshments on the inpatient unit, befriending in the community, washing up in the kitchens, sorting stock donations for our shops, serving customers in our shops and cafe, driving furniture donation vans, helping out at events or in our gardens, and much more!
We can promise a very rewarding role which makes a real difference to the lives of local people. Not only that, it’s also a very sociable activity which can offer valuable work experience for those beginning a new education or career path. Our friendly staff and volunteers are here to support you every step of the way.
