Are you looking for a rewarding way to give back to your community and help young people develop skills for life? Central Ribbleton Scout Group are looking for volunteer team members to support our Squirrel Scouts section (ages 4–6).
As a team member, you’ll help deliver fun, adventurous, and engaging weekly meetings alongside a friendly team of leaders. Activities include games, outdoor adventures, creative challenges, and learning practical skills that help young people grow in confidence, teamwork, and independence.
What you’ll do
Support the Squirrel Leader and other team members in planning and running weekly meetings
Help deliver a varied programme of games, activities, and outdoor experiences
Encourage and support young people to try new things and build confidence
Assist with occasional trips, camps, and events
Work as part of a supportive leadership team
What we’re looking for
Someone enthusiastic and positive about working with young people
Good teamwork and communication skills
Reliability and a willingness to get involved
No previous Scouting experience required – training and support are provided
What you’ll get out of it

All volunteers will be supported through the Scouts training programme and will require a DBS check.
