The Basingstoke Canal Society (The Society) needs your skills and experience to help protect the Assets of The Society.
The Society is seeking a volunteer with experience in Asset Management to help us establish a robust system for managing the Society’s assets.
Our charity owns and manages a variety of equipment, tools, materials, and other assets that support our conservation, maintenance and community activities. We are looking for someone who can help us understand what we have, where it is located, and how it should be managed in the future.
Time Commitment: Flexible. Suggest an initial review project over approximately 3–6 months, followed by the option of ongoing support if desired.
The canal is a vital local amenity with virtually its whole length designated as a Site of Special Scientific Interest. It provides a great range of leisure activities, including boating, running, walking, cycling and angling.
What skills do I need?
Basic information collating and recording skills and enthusiasm.
